| I went thru the first 3 pages here of the searched item 'quantize', and did not see an answer. The manual does not address my issue that I could find. I quantized 2 bars of audio to where it sounds good. In doing the quantize, the shifted notes are in pink, overlaid with the original timing. Then, playing the section, both parts play - the fixed (Quantized) and the not-fixed. How do I accept the revised version and lose the underlying bad notes? I've hit every button, and looked thru all the menus . . . I hope. Thanks. | As a follow-up to the above post, the rest of the track is muted, and won't play until I somehow accept the revision. Can't see where/how to do that. Thx. | This sounds stange. Normally just moving the transient is all you have to do. I muting an event is available on the context menu. Please put you specs in you signature. Se. Mine for link. Perhaps post a picture or or detailed steps on how you got there. See my YouTube videos for complete trading on audio timing. | To your post, jt: I hit 'alt/PrtScrn' to take a snapshot of my S1 screen; in Windows 8, that image has disappeared - can't find it anywhere, so at the moment, I can't show you my screen. Detailed steps: Recorded a guitar section of 8 bars. Two bars inside the section the timing was off. Instead of moving the individual notes, I tried quantize [for the experience] for those two bars- and it worked for the timing. The rest is as described in the initial post. I checked out your YouTube channel - cool. Just got the program last Tuesday, as the included software with my AudioBox 1818. Stuck for the moment . . . I'll keep thrashing away at it. Thanks. I tried quantize for those two bars- and it worked for the timing. < FYI only if you recorded to the click track. Did you slice the two bars to isolate them for the quantize? 3) the shifted notes are in pink, overlaid with the original timing. ??? what do you mean overlaid the original timing ( this is where a picture helps) Were only two bar pink and red or all 8 bars? 4) playing the section, both parts play - the fixed (Quantized) and the not-fixed. Is all in the same track? Do you by chance have a copy of the recording on top of itself? Do you have play overlapping events on? | Thanks, all. Some things to think about . . . I re-recorded the offending two bars, and it's all good. Just trying out different things to learn the program more. |
